MessageBird is fast growing cloud communications company that helps enterprises to reach their customers in every country in the world through SMS, Voice, and Chat APIs. Headquartered in Amsterdam with offices in San Francisco and Singapore, we approach our business with a global-first mindset.

As a Growth Product Manager you will continuously hypothesise, prioritise and execute on growth projects. You will be responsible for growing our self-serve customer segment owning parts of the experience such as onboarding and payments. We are looking for a highly analytical, creative product manager who can bring new ideas to the table and who has experience independently leading and analysing growth projects from scratch.


  • Creatively incorporating traditional and cutting-edge ideas to grow our active user base
  • Researching, hypothesising and prioritizing growth initiatives based on data analysis
  • Implementing, communicating, and analyzing growth experiments independently
  • Use data to understand our products in depth and to identify high impact growth areas
  • Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, design, marketing, sales, and support to create and execute on growth projects
  • Help build and grow the growth product function
  • You’ll travel between San Francisco and Amsterdam


  • 4-6 years of relevant product experience in a high growth, rapid iteration environment
  • You love A/B testing and analyzing data and user feedback
  • You’re a quantitative person with a deep understanding of analytics (this is an absolute requirement)
  • A love for user psychology, you are empathetic and can formulate what success looks like for different types of customers
  • Experience shipping projects from scratch
  • Familiarity with some scripting language (Javascript or Python)
  • Extensive knowledge in Conversion Rate Optimization
  • A history of delivering results in Growth experiments
  • Strong project management, execution, and communication skills
  • You’re a technical person with drive to automate inefficiencies with an arsenal of tools to do so
  • The ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive and to handle uncertainty, ambiguity and the challenge of quickly evolving goals
  • You prioritize projects based on impact
  • You have no issue killing your darlings

Bonus points

  • Experience with design
  • Experience with back-end development
  • Experience working with BI tools like Looker
  • Computer Science background
  • Proficient in SQL
